New Blackberry Curve 9300 Revealed on video

by admin on July 30th, 2010

Those of you that are looking forward to the release of the new Blackberry curve 9300, well you can let some of that excitement out now as the new handset has been seen out and about and this has been caught on video!
If you have been really looking for one of the more ‘top of the range’ BlackBerry handsets but have been massively put off by the price tag then with this new handset we may just see a little smirk appear on your mouth as this handset may well be up there in terms of ‘top of the range’ Blackberry handsets but it certainly isn’t the same league when it comes to the price of a mobile phone you may want to buy.
Like many LG phones and Sony Ericsson phones that have been released recently they are ‘up there’, like the new Curve in terms of spec but they certainly aren’t ‘up there’ in terms of price.
Recently the Curve has been seen out in the open in some rather fuzzy photos but now the Vietnamese site Mainguyen, that site that everyone knows, have somehow managed to get their hands on one of the new devices and have debuted it in a short 7 minute video, all about the handset!
The device come with a 3.2MP camera which isn’t, as you may well know already isn’t the greatest but at the end of the day it’s a Blackberry, what do you expect, they’re more a business oriented handset anyway.

Grobag baby sleeping bags

by admin on December 15th, 2009

A baby sleeping bag is simply a wearable sheet or blanket which replaces the traditional unsafe blankets and sheets. They can be worn by babies just like regular clothes, and provide comfort to the child throughout the night so that the kid has a good rest.

The Gro Company sells the most popular baby grobag sleeping bag in the UK called the Grobag. It is the winner of 3 Mother and Baby gold awards. The Grobag sleeping bags have numerous advantages. The bags don’t have covers so the baby cannot kick it off. Due to this, he won’t wake up screaming in the night because he is cold. It is possible for the baby to move around in the bag, so they don’t prevent movement. The fitted neck and armholes on the bag also prevent the child from slipping out. The grobag baby sleeping bags are comfortable for the child and very safe as they follow the new standard BS8510:2009 created by The National Standards Body,

The Grobag baby sleeping bags come at tog 2.5, 1.0 and 0.5. The tog rating describes the warmth of the duvet. It is the sleeping bagmeasurement standard for “Thermal Resistance”. The Grobag baby sleeping bags with tog 2.5 are lightweight, and are ideal for use in the autumn, the winter and the spring. They can also be used on cold summer nights if any. A tog 1.0 sleeping bag can be used the year round in mild climates while the tog 0.5 can be used in summer which has high temperatures, or when the child is unwell. The baby has to wear suitable clothing under the Grobag sleeping bag, so that his body temperature is optimum throughout the night.

The Grobag sleeping bags come in various sizes and designs. The 0-6 month sleeping bag is suitable for the new born, while 6-18 month, 18-36 month and the 3-6 year Grobag sleeping bags are for older kids. They all have various sizes and weights, and can be customized according to the weight and height of the kid. Grobags come with designs like the pink panther, with bubbles etc. which are attractive for kids. The Grobag baby sleeping bag can be machine washed at 40 C. They also have zippers, and can thus be easily cleaned and dried.

sleeping bagGrobags baby sleeping bags have to be changed according to the age of the baby. This is because a Grobag cannot both fit and be comfortable for a small toddler and a much taller 6 year old child. The company recommends parents buy two Grobags at a time which is convenient for the parent, as a new Grobag may be needed at any time.

The Grobag baby sleeping bags are the only recommended baby sleeping bags by the FSID. They go through rigorous quality control and testing. The components used on the Grobag baby sleeping bags are of the highest quality, and come in a large variety of sizes and designs. They also have a 100% natural cotton lining. A nursery thermometer comes free with every Grobag. This thermometer can be used to monitor the temperature of the nursery.

Telling a good bedtime story

by admin on October 13th, 2009

Telling your child a good bedtime story has massive benefits. Not only does your child feel entertained and relaxed before bedtime, it builds his or her imagination and allows you quality time with your child.

Whether you are reading from a book or making it up as you go along it is important that your story has the following elements.

Familiarity

Even if you are weaving a tale about dragons and magical places, a child likes to things they can relate to in the story. For example, may the dragon in your story has an annoying little brother or the little princess has a nursery bedding blanket which they fall asleep with every night. Allowing them to relate to one or two aspects of the story helps your child build stronger, richer images in his or her mind.

Length

The main aim of telling your child a bedtime story is to help them get to sleep, so you don’t want the story to be too long. Kids like to see results so make sure you finish the story before they fall asleep as they will fight to stay awake till they hear the end.
If you are reading a book with numerous chapters, keep the segments short. If you can’t get to the end of the chapter, then try to leave it on a point where your child senses some sense of completion.
The time you spend reading with them will vary but try and aim for about 20 minutes in total.

Variety

Each child has a favourite book or story and asks for it to be read or told time and time again. No matter how bored you are with the story, it is important to give your child reassurance and repetition to help them learn and reading the story to them again will help that.
However it is a good idea to work a compromise with them by introducing new books to their world. Tell your child that on a Tuesday and Sunday you will read their favourite book and the other nights you will read a brand new book for them to enjoy.

Plot

Children love scary stories but before bedtime is possibly the worst time to tell one. If there are scary or dangerous elements to the story then don’t end on a frightening note as this can leave your child restless and having nightmares. Make sure they are happy and relaxed before they go to sleep and leave them with a happy ending to the story.

Participation

As your child grows older they will participate more in the storytelling. Before they can read properly, show them plenty of pictures or use gestures and faces to facilitate your tale.
Once they have become familiar with the story prompt them to ask what happens next or what do you think the person says next, and don’t dismiss their feedback.
Make sure however that you set ground rules and you don’t get into a heated debate about the sound of what a horse and cart makes as that won’t help either of you sleep.

Reading your baby a story before bedtime is special so make the most of it before they grow older and won’t want you in their room at all.

How to Find Great Deals at eBay

Everyone loves a great deal! Many people spend quite a bit of time searching for good deals on the items that they want and need – and when they find those deals, they experience a certain amount of satisfaction. These people typically haunt garage sales, stores that are holding sales, wholesale warehouses, flea markets, and especially online and offline auctions. With the incredible number of auctions that are constantly going on at eBay, it can be difficult to find the items you want, at the price you want to pay. But it isn’t impossible to find great deals!

There are steps you can take to ensure that you are getting a great deal on the items you purchase through eBay. In fact, these same steps will also help to protect you against fraud. Participating in online auctions is a great deal of fun, but you mustuse caution as well. This caution entails doing your research before you place any bids.

Start with the auction in question. Make sure that you read every word of the description and the auction details. You can never have too much information – especially if that information is about an individual that you may be doing business with. Pay special attention to what the description and auction details do not say. For instance, is a guarantee mentioned? Is the item new? Is it authentic? Is there proof of authenticity? Look for auctions that provide the right information – and the right amount of information. Avoid those that do not.

Who will pay the shipping and handling costs? Often, the buyer pays these costs, and sometimes, the seller tries to charge more than the actual shipping and handling costs are. Beware of high shipping costs, especially for items that will be auctioned off at a very low price. Also note when the item is supposed to ship after the bidding has ended.
Depending on what you are trying to purchase the item for, it may not arrive in time.

Don’t make the mistake of bidding on an item simply because it is a ‘good deal.’ It is only a good deal for you if the item is something that you really want or need. Many people simply bid for the sake of bidding – or winning – without having any real need or desire for the item in question. Before bidding on items that you do want or need, check prices
around the Internet and the prices available from offline sources as well. Just because it is on eBay does not guarantee that it is the cheapest price available!

Finally, learn more about the seller. Can you trust them? What is their rating? Read their feedback page! Failure to learn more about the seller can be costly. Not everyone is as honest as you are – and the seller may be trying to take advantage of people that simply don’t know enough to find out more about them. Sometimes scammers make their
auctions sound like really great deals. Beware of prices that seem extremely low!
